Kanab Days

After Moccasin, we got to spend a few days in Kanab with my parents and Kirsten and Savannah. One of the big highlights was riding "Pepe". Savannah had been in Kanab for a few days before we got there so she was quite the pro. Grandpa told her that he knew of a horse she could ride while she was visiting and it quickly became her highest priority and a twice daily routine. Nora and Kyla were very excited about being able to ride the horse. I was a little nervous about them having the reins but the horse was so sweet, kind, and gentle we really didn't have much to worry about.

We went several times and by the end Nora and Kyla were able to go by themselves. Nora could go in the field and do the barrels quite well. Kyla could control her around the corral pretty well. It was a fun experience, but the girls are not quite the horse fanatics as their cousin.

While the girls took turns with the horse the others were very entertained taking "Cinnamon", the goat, for a walk or actually Cinnamon taking them where ever he felt like. He was such a cute friendly goat; honestly, the girls would probably rather have one of those than a horse.

The girls had a great time playing with Savannah at Mormor's house. They really enjoyed playing on the balcony upstairs and created their own club. They named it "The Wonder Club". We thought it was a pretty cute name then we asked them why they chose that name. They said, "Well we were wondering what those berries on the tree were, so we decided to to call it The Wonder Club. Pictures I wish I would have taken: Nora, Savannah, and Kyla on the balcony in their "Wonder Club". Nora and Savannah teeter-tottering on the deck on a beautiful Kanab evening. Myka getting her diaper chewed on by Cinnamon.

Hooray for Mormor! Of course, she always takes the pictures that I wish I had taken. This is Nora and Savannah on the balcony in their "Wonder Berry Club" (I think that is what Kirsten and I decided it was called.) And the two of them having a great time on the teeter-totter. The same one that Kirse and I would have played on as little girls.
