Zoo with Grandma
We had a great time at the zoo with Grandma Cynthia. Of course, as always I tried to pack as much in as we could, so we ended up seeing most of the zoo. One of the highlights was the anteater taking a bath. They are just so cool looking anyways to watch one laid back taking a bath in his pool was pretty cool. We also were very lucky with the polar bears. They had just given the polar bears outside a new toy so they were playing and fighting over it pretty aggressively. Inside we had the lucky opportunity to see the Momma bear in the water for a minute. It is really cool to see the underneath of the bears while we are swimming and the size of their paws when they walk on top of the tube. The last highlight was feeding the giraffes. We have not done this before and it wasn't too much money so we decided having Grandma visiting was a good excuse. The giraffes were very shy and it got the zookeepers a long time to get them to come up and feed. I think they needed better tasting crackers. All in all it was fun day, a little hot for Grandma but I was excited to get a new souvenir shirt.
