Kyla's Birthday

After having fun in the water, we packed our bags and headed to Hurricane. On the way out of own we tried to stop at McDonald's for a birthday treat. Unfortunately, there was a sign on the door that said they were closed because they had run out of buns! I tell you only in Kanab! As you can tell Myka wasn't too excited about being in the car AGAIN, but still pretty cute.We got together with all of Daniel's family on Monday evening at Sheep's Bridge to celebrate Kyla's birthday. It is an area of the Virgin River (close to Virgin) where you can easily access the river and the river is very nice to play in. With all of us there it was quite a crew. We got the camera out a little late because we were having so much fun, so a lot of the family had already headed for food. Daniel really liked this nice little reflecting pool with the birthday girl in front of it. . The kids had so much fun playing in the water and sand. They loved catching the tadpoles, tiny toads, and crayfish. We also enjoyed floating on tubes and skimboarding. Kyla with her tiny toad. Kyla and Myka taking a break from the water in their coverups. Unfortunately, my girls are a little more hesitant about new situations. Which means by the time it was dark and everyone was ready to go, Nora had just started getting more adventurous and having fun in the water. She had spent most of the time playing on the sand making pools for her tadpole, crayfish collection.
