The House of Our Dreams

Well it might not be the house of our dreams right now, but it is pretty close and we have a few plans. When we were looking at the house I had mentioned that it was strange that they just had a door to go upstairs and that we might want to open that up. That project became a lot more pressing as we could not fit our box spring or headboard up the stairs. Daniel cut into it that week and we had a bed in a few days. The girls didn't like the hours of sawsall work, but we survived. We have more rooms than we know what to do with right now but hopefully we will get it all arranged soon. The big nice bathtub in the basement right next to laundry is also a strange but nice addition. The girls love to "swim" in it. We haven't had the chance to get in it but are excited for the opportunity. The backyard is big enough for a good sized garden and the girls are excited about the play structure and sunflower patch with a maze in it. We hope that things will go well for us in this house and hopefully soon it will be "home".

Angels at Night

So we get back from the adult session of Stake Conference, pick up the kids from the Ruesch's, and get home about 10:00 pm. Of course having our first fresh snow on the ground is reason enough to throw out the rules and just play in the snow. It was inspired by Daniel, I was such a boring adult and kept warm inside. As you can see from the pictures, yes they have hats and gloves but no snowpants so they got pretty wet. Daniel knew they would get cold and tired quickly so it wouldn't take long for them to be running for some warmth. Unfortunately, they wanted hot chocolate and a bath; which both take a considerable amount of time. In comes "Super Mommy" and solves the problem with hot Mormor bean bags in the foot of their beds as soon as they get their jammies on. I am glad Daniel encourages us to be spontaneous every once in awhile.
