The girls had a fun time this September and October playing soccer. We joined a league through a local church that alot of the moms in the ward like because they don't play on Sundays like the city leagues do. The girls had a fun time, it was the first time they had played so they were somewhat clueless. We played several times in the backyard with a few neighbor kids and the girls loved it. They were very aggressive and competitive. It is amazing how much changes when they are on a field with 20 other kids and all of a sudden they could care less. Kyla actually did quite a good job. She would try to keep up with the ball and the crowd and got a few good kicks in. Nora did well for a few games and was one of the oldest on the team so I was hoping that she would help them out. By the end of the season though she turned into a big space case once she got on the field and most of the time didn't really know or care where the ball was. She was so funny; while she wasn't in for her team she would play on the sidelines with her Dad and work up quite a sweat. Then her coach would put her in the game and she would start leading music and singing songs.
They got these really cool trophies after the last game. The girls loved them, but now we have just another two dust collector's! I am not sure if we are going to do it again next year, but we will probably try at least one more year. I thought these were pretty good action shots. I didn't take too many pictures at games. I should have taken more maybe I would have gotten one of them actually kicking the ball (it did happen a few times every game).
