The Henry Ford Museum

We spent a few hours in the morning checking out the Henry Ford Museum. My mom had been there once shortly before but my dad hadn't been at all. He enjoyed looking at all the old tractors and machines. Here the girls took a break by sitting down and watching some funny old time films. Fun fact we learned later on that in 1918 or a year somewhere close Henry Ford and Ford Motor Company recorded more movies on film than Hollywood. I guess it was mostly training movies.

Kyla posing to see if she can look like the old time photographs.

Myka in a more modern pose, although the grumpy look matches better with the early 1900's when they didn't smile in pictures.

They have a neat exhibit at The Henry Ford right now where they have visitors help assemble a Model T everyday. They don't actually start it up since they are inside but they say it would run. The girls had fun helping me put in some sparkplugs.!

Grandpa and Mormor stayed through Thursday and we had a fun time, just forgot to take a ton of pictures. Sunday was fast Sunday and Nora got up to bear her testimony, Mormor was pretty proud. I also took Mom and Dad to the Henry Ford Estate one morning while Birgitte and Emily helped watched the kids. It was a very interesting place. It was neat to see how innovative and yet practical it was built. Unfortunately, neither of us brought our cameras so we couldn't even take pictures of how they even had blowdryers. We stayed for lunch and it was super yummy as usual, especially Mom's stuffed portobello. Mormor and Grandpa got to watch the girls play soccer a few times and we had a rousing backyard game one night to get the girls ready for their game. We also kept busy at home canning pears and Dad built me some awesome shelves in the basement for my food storage. I am so excited!
