Warm Michigan Rain

One thing about Michigan is that when it rains it does not usually mean things are going to cool down or feel nice and fresh afterwards. Usually it stays very warm and just gets more muggy. But the good thing about that is I don't feel bad letting the girls get totally soaked splashing in the puddles.

 

The pictures really don't give it justice to how hard it actually was raining. They were a little hesitant to run out in it pouring down, but once they got soaked there was no holding back.

 

 

Nora and Kyla were pretty excited when they discovered it had made their slide into a waterslide that was super fast with their wet clothes on. Myka thought about going down but couldn't get up the nerve, which is probably good. Man, we could sure use one of those rainstorms now. It has been more than a month without a really good, soaking rainstorm and people here in Michigan aren't used to that. There are hardly any sprinkler systems and people just aren't used to having to water their yard.
