Bird Show at the Library

On the third of June, we got to have a fun family activity and go to the Bird Show at the Library. They have a group of people (some type of Bird Club) come out and show all their different kinds of parrots. They had some really interesting types that I had never seen or heard of before. One of my favorites was this Rose Crested Cockatoo, it was very beautiful and uncommon. The girls had a great time. It was kind of hard to hear since the birds were super noisy even in their little cages with towels over them. The best part was at the end being able to go up and pet and hold some of the parrots. Nora's favorite of course was the Scarlet Macaw, which she still thinks she wants to have one, one day.The friendliest ones there were the African Grey Parrots and the Umbrella Cockatoos. The girls got to hold the African Grey Parrot and the Unbrella Cockatoo would spread out its wings and crest to have its owner scratch him. Unfortunately, as soon as I got my camera out to take pictures it said it had a dead battery, so you get pictures off the internet instead of ones we took.

Cool Birds! I like the pink one too. I now keep an extra set of batteries in my camera case.

batteries always seem to die when you need them to be "alive"!! oh well. glad you had fun. sorry we won't see you guys when you come down - we just never planned on it, being down there with Elizabeth and Brennan *only being a month old* never sounded like a lot of fun. so, we hope to catch you next time!
