A month or so ago, I took the girls to the park. They were playing around having a good time, when Nora called to me. “Mom! Look! Look at me I can do the monkey bars now.” I turn around to see her just finishing a set of monkey bars. I was pretty surprised because they were pretty high up and she has been a real chicken about trying to practice on any monkey bars. I was so excited for her and she was so excited that she ran around the park doing all the monkey bars there over and over until her hands started hurting. We decided that she needed to surprise Daddy when he got home, so the girls took him to the park and I shot this video. If you listen the dialogue is pretty funny. Dad: "When did you learn to do that" Nora: "I just thought I would try it on those ones over there and I could do it. Did you know I could do it all along and I was being silly?" Dad: "Well I kind of suspected" Dad: "Woohoo! give me 5".

Hey Lise! Your blog layout is so cute and the picture of the girls is BREATHTAKING! They are so beautiful. Speaking of parks and monkey bars...I sure miss those days in Provo. Now when I'm stuck on my "dreadmill", I'm wishing I was walking the Provo River trail with you and letting our kids play at the fun parks. Hope you enjoyed UTAH!
Awesome job Nora! Kaleb tries the monkey bars, but he has weak arms(ha ha) - the one thing he has done is hold onto the garage door as its raising.....yeah, dangerous. Looks like you guys are really enjoying your summer. :D
Lise,
I'm glad you found me...I love seeing your pictures--which really are gorgeous! I will be so happy to add you to my list of friends...as soon as I figure out how to do it! Congratulations to Nora, that really is a very big deal. And I am REALLY interested in knowing how things are going in your new (not that new, I know) place. Have a wonderful day!-Vaness
