This is our backyard neighbors. He has this cool old army jeep. I think it is a 1940's WWII one. They had their two girls dressed in 40's clothes and sitting in the middle but I guess that Daniel went so fast he didn't see them.
This was pretty much the only float in the parade. It was a pretty good sized parade but I guess they are not big on floats out here.
This is the girls dance troop.
And this is an up close of Nora strutting her stuff. She was really nervous because they had only just taught them the dance for the parade the week before and she didn't remember any of it. They pretty much danced the whole walk of the parade, they would just keep repeating the music. By the end Nora said she was having a fun time and liked doing the dance. We put her right behind one of the older girls so she could follow her but the other girls kept crowding around. So Daniel had a hard time getting a clear shot of her. It was one of those strange Michigan days when we couldn't decide if it was going to pour like crazy or be super hot and muggy. Unfortunately, the hot and muggy part won out and we were sweltering.
Kyla enjoyed the parade from the back of truck. O.K. that was a serious overstatment, she didn't really like it at all. There was way too much waiting around and she didn't really care about waving to the people and looking cute.
One of the coolest parts of the parade was this troop of unicylers. They had some that were up like 20 feet on down to really short.Nora has a dark blue shirt on right behind the girl in all red.
