A Call to 911

So tonight while I was sitting on the couch trying very hard to keep Eli busy while I read my email on the laptop and watch the Olympics, he got a hold of the home phone. Well not just the phone, he had two remotes too; but at the time the phone was the most entertaining. He started pushing buttons like crazy, as usual. The biggest center button on it is a transfer button which makes the phone upstairs ring. So everytime he pushed the transfer button I would push the on button so it would stop ringing. Well after awhile I couldn't tell what was ringing or getting pushed and looked at the phone and it said it was ringing. So I decided to answer it. It was the nice lady from 911 telling me to please take the phone away from the baby. She said she had received a call from our home and she had been trying to call back for a few minutes, but kept getting hung up on. I guess he will have to stick with his remotes from know on. I am so thankful that they don't have to send a truck out to check out every call but would take my word that everything was fine. I think Eli is the first one of my kids to call 911 but not quite sure. Hopefully it is not a sign of thing to come in the future!
